Our Founding History
Duncan Campbell and his wife Cindy established a home in Sisters Oregon and in 2011 continued their philanthropic work of building resilient children by founding Circle of Friends.
Duncan launched a similar mentoring program, Friends of the Children, in Portland Oregon in 1993. He brought to Sisters and Circle of Friends decades of wisdom gained from the Friends model.

Circle of Friends mentors are dedicated volunteers that believe all youth have the capacity to pursue meaningful lives. They help give them the tools and support to achieve their fullest potential. Our mentors are professionally trained to aid our youth in developing resiliency through learning and teaching six core assets:

Our Programs
Circle of Friends offers the children we serve with experiences and opportunities to ignite their passions and curiosities. In addition to our in house programming such as Lego Robotics, art , STEAM, sewing and cooking, we also partner with local business and organizations to provide sport, music, swimming, riding, farming, gardening, day and summer camps.

There are no truer words said than the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." Circle of Friends could not provide our youth with opportunities to play sports, ride horses, play music, learn healthy cooking, farming or experience summer camps without our community partners.
